The History of Briarlake Forest Park

The Friends of Briarlake Forest Park wish to express our gratitude to Kimberly Ellis, UGA Heritage Preservation graduate student, and Grace Gresham Flowers, historical archivist and former resident of the park property,  for their work in collecting, archiving, and bringing Briarlake Forests Park's fascinating history to life.

The park is a living remnant of the ecological and human history of our community and a rare gem in Atlanta's sprawling metropolis.
